Mötte döden i en snöstorms öga
Han såg på mig med isande blick
Fick den frusna månen att glöda
Följde mig vart jag än gick
På en klippa gjorde jag ett tecken
Som döden inte förstod
Jag är redo att välkomna den kyla
Som redan bor i mitt blod

Men jag såg en flock av hungrande vargar
Ylandes bland tall och gran
Har alltid tänkt hur vargar garvar åt fara
Och jag är likadan
Ta mig med låt mig jaga i natten
I bröstet kände jag en lavin
Det vita bryts av tre ruttnande tänder
När döden blottar sitt grin

Han har känt min doft
Han följer mina spår
Jag kan känna dödens långa fingrar
Rivandes i mina öppna sår

Vinden ylar genom natten
men min blodtörst bränner svårt
Där från klippan ekar skratten
Dödens fingrar tränger på
